The L 2010 Fund’s investment objective was to achieve a low level of growth with a high emphasis on preservation of assets. The fund’s allocation in the G, F, C, S, and I Funds was adjusted quarterly and it rolled into the L Income Fund in July 2010 when its allocation matched the L Income Fund.
Risk
The L 2010 Fund was designed to offer a diversified mix of the five individual TSP funds (G, F, C, S, and I) and sought the best expected return for the amount of expected risk appropriate for its investors. Its target allocation was based on assumptions about future returns, inflation, economic growth, and interest rates, and the fund was rebalanced daily to stay on target; there was no guaranteed rate of return.
